Crown Lengthening Cases

Before & After Crown Lengthening

This gentleman experienced significant wear on his teeth due to grinding. Following evaluation, Dr. Goettisheim concluded that crown lengthening was necessary to expose more of the tooth structure. Once healed, his dentist applied veneers and/or crowns to address the lost space between his upper and lower teeth caused by the grinding.

Before & After Crown Lengthening for Orthodontics

While undergoing orthodontic treatment, this patient experienced excessive gum tissue growth around their teeth. This not only affected their appearance negatively but also interfered with tooth movement. They needed anatomic crown exposure to enhance appearance, promote better hygiene, and facilitate orthodontic adjustments by making more of the tooth visible.

Dental Implant Cases

Before & After Full Upper Implant Reconstruction

This patient underwent braces treatment before receiving clearance from a periodontist, leading to the development of multiple abscesses and significant gum and bone loss around her upper teeth. Due to the extensive damage incurred over the years, her teeth were deemed unsalvageable, resulting in their extraction and replacement with dental implants.

This patient was undergoing an upper full-arch reconstruction due to severe tooth compromise from gum disease. These photos illustrate the transformation as his upper teeth were replaced with a complete set of teeth supported by implants. He was so happy with the outcome that he opted to proceed with a similar approach for his lower teeth.

After experiencing trauma to her two front teeth that required extraction, this patient immediately underwent implant placement and temporization.

Gum Grafting Cases

Before & After Gum Grafting

Following the placement and restoration of an implant, this patient encountered issues with the gum, experiencing recession, redness, and irritation. To address this, Dr. Goettisheim performed gum grafting around the implant to augment the quantity and quality of gum tissue in the area. Subsequently, she underwent a combination of crowns and veneers in the front to enhance her cosmetic appearance.

This patient experienced gum recession throughout her mouth. Following a thorough cleaning, Dr. Goettisheim utilized the Pinhole Surgical Technique to minimize trauma and achieve a highly natural outcome. Encouraged by the results, she opted for a similar procedure on her lower teeth.
